Jarod and I went to Hollywood Studios on Thursday. We woke up early to get a boarding pass for Rise of the Resistance at 7 am. We got boarding group 19.
We arrived at the park around 9:54 am. Our boarding group for Rise of the Resistance had been called, so we headed to the ride.
We got in line for Rise of the Resistance at 10 am. It took about 10 minutes to get through the line and into the pre-show.
We walked around the shops in Galaxy’s Edge and bought a plushie of The Child. Jarod got a Ronto Wrap and Paddy Frog Sipper cup from Ronto Roasters.
We got in line for the First Order Cargo gift shop. Kylo Ren and two stormtroopers made an appearance to interact with guests from a distance.
We looked inside Dok Ondar’s shop. Jarod bought the Jedi Gear set.
Next, we got in line for Rock n’ Roller Coaster. The posted wait time was 25 minutes, and we waited less than 15 minutes. We walked toward the entrance to look in the shops and trade pins.
We saw some of the new streetwear merchandise featuring Baby Yoda. We rode Star Tours and got the scenes from Tatooine and Naboo.
We rode Toy Story Mania and technically Jarod won, but I had better accuracy.
We picked up our lunch from Woody’s Lunch Box. I ate a grilled three-cheese sandwich with tater tots. Jarod got the totchos and mystic portal punch. We left the park with full stomachs after a fun day!
I went to Disney Springs on Monday to see the Christmas Tree Stroll. There are 12 total trees this year.
The Princess and the Frog tree is located outside World of Disney.
The Toy Story tree is near Once Upon a Toy.
I waited in line for the Walt Disney and Sleeping Beauty castle Funko Pop figure. It took me about 35 minutes to get through the line. There was a limit of four figures per person.
The Fantasia tree is near the Disney Style store.
The Mulan tree is near the AMC Dine-In.
The Frozen tree is near the AMC entrance.
The Haunted Mansion tree is near the NBA Store.
The Disney Parks tree is located near Cirque du Soleil.
Here is the Walt Disney and Sleeping Beauty castle figure. It retailed for $39.99.
I went to Universal Studios on Friday to see the Christmas decorations.
First, I purchased a Holiday Tree Hunt map. This scavenger hunt requires stamps from gift shops in City Walk, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Studios.
I found Earl the Squirrel in the big Christmas tree in the New York area.
Next, I took a look inside the Holiday Tribute Store.
There was a lot of Christmas merchandise for sale, including ornaments, pajamas, and stockings.
Universal’s Holiday Experience featuring Macy’s balloons is a fun walk-through experience of the floats and balloons that are usually in the Christmas parade.
My favorite Macy’s balloon is the Nutcracker. Santa Claus was sitting nearby to take distanced photos.
I saw some Christmas dancers performing near the Holiday Tribute Store.
I saw Shrek, Fiona, and the three blind mice in the Hollywood area. They all had Christmas outfits of course!
I also saw the Mystery Gang crossing the street. Doesn’t this photo sort of look like the cover of Abbey Road?
I walked over to Islands of Adventure to complete the Holiday Tree Hunt.
Construction for the Velocicoaster has come a long way.
The Cat in the Hat, Guy-Am-I, and Sam-I-Am were waving to guests passing by. There was a long line to meet the Grinch.
I finished the Holiday Tree Hunt and received a circular Universal ornament. Overall, I had a fun morning and the parks were not very crowded.
