Passholder Preview of the Velocicoaster at Islands of Adventure

This morning I got to ride the Velocicoaster at Islands of Adventure.

I got in line at 11:10 am. Team members outside greeted me as I walked to the ride.

Right inside the line, there was a statue of some velociraptors.

Next, there were shelves with props on them. I recognized Dr. Alan Grant on the back cover of a book.

There were a couple of impressive animatronics that blinked and looked like they were breathing. Around the next corner, I had to place my belongings in a locker.

The coaster was incredibly fun and thrilling. It was a fairly smooth ride. The track had several raptors with sound effects near it. I’m excited to ride it again!

A Day at Universal Orlando – April 13, 2021

Yesterday my friend and I went to Universal Orlando. Islands of Adventure opened at 8 am for early admission.

We waited about 90 minutes to ride Hagrid’s. Then we ate lunch at The Three Broomsticks.

We went on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. The wait time was about 30 minutes.

We took the Hogwarts Express over to Universal Studios. We decided to skip Escape From Gringott’s because the line was posted at 110 minutes.

There were Mardi Gras decorations and floats around the park.

I got a poached pear crepe from the crepe stand.

I went to the Annual Passholder lounge to pick up the button of the month. I saw these new passholder shirts for Mardi Gras and the Velocicoaster.

We watched The Bourne Stuntacular at 2:30 pm. They used every other row of seats, and each group had two seats between them.

The gift shop in the front of the park had merchandise for the Velocicoaster, which opens on June 10.

At 3:30 pm, we left the park and checked out the new Universal Studios Store in City Walk. I bought three new face masks.
