Art of Animation Resort Stay

On Wednesday, Jarod and I were able to spend a night at the Art of Animation Resort. We stayed in the Cars area in Building 2.

We stayed on the ground floor. Here is a picture of the wall in front of the elevators.

Our whole suite was Cars-themed. The room had a queen bed, 2 televisions, and 2 restrooms.

We went to the cafeteria called Landscape of Flavors for lunch. I ate pizza and mac and cheese. Jarod and I split a cookies and cream cupcake for dessert.

I swam in the Cozy Cone Pool while Jarod sat in a cone-shaped structure. The pool was shallow, but clean and a nice temperature. I also swam in the Big Blue Pool, which is themed after Finding Nemo.

After swimming, Jarod and I rode the Skyliner to Epcot and back. We ate dinner at the Pop Century resort and then went back to the hotel room.

A Morning at Magic Kingdom – May 17, 2021

This morning I went to Magic Kingdom for a few hours. There were characters and dancers waving from the train station as I walked in. I went to the Emporium and bought 2 Star Tours Wishables.

I saw the Dapper Dans ride the trolley down Main Street, then I walked over to Tomorrowland.

Today I got to ride the People Mover for the first time in a while after a long refurbishment.

Here’s a look at the construction of the Tron ride. After exiting the People Mover, I waited about 20 minutes to ride Space Mountain.

Next, I walked over to Liberty Square. I waited about 20 minutes in line for the Haunted Mansion. I left the park before noon and took the resort monorail back to the parking lot.
