1971
The All-American College Band program began in 1971.
1972
The Country Bear Jamboree opened on March 4, 1972.
The Main Street Electrical Parade debuted on June 17, 1972.
1977
Space Mountain opened on May 4, 1977. It was dedicated on May 27, 1977.
1978
The Matterhorn Bobsleds ride was refurbished and reopened in June 1978. The interior of the mountain was filled in with more icy decor, and Abominable Snowman figures were added.
1979
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad opened on September 2, 1979. It replaced Mine Train Through Nature’s Wonderland.
A Castle and a Wish
